The Hurdy Gurdy Lesson at Art School

The thesis focuses on playing the hurdy gurdy and materials dealing with this theme. The work first presents the historical background of this musical instrument, its development, mechanics and possibilities of the instrument. Furthermore, it processes and compares the literature available for players dealing with the topic of playing the hurdy gurdy. The main content of the work is the creation of methodical material for playing the hurdy gurdy suitable as an aid for teaching in the Art school environment, as well as study material for self-taught students. This material contains the necessary information that a player needs to know during the beginnings of the hurdy gurdy playing, i.e., information starting with the functions of the individual parts of the instrument, through the adjustment and maintenance of the instrument to the explanation of the playing the instrument itself separately for the right- and left-hand technique. It also includes sheet music with a repertoire of widely played pieces on the hurdy gurdy. The benefit of the methodology is also the Czech language in which it is written, which can supplement the necessary, but currently missing information about playing this instrument in the Czech environment. Knowledge of kidney function and disease in upper elementary school pupils of selected elementary schools

The dissertation entitled Knowledge of kidney function and disease in upper elementary school pupils of selected elementary schools focuses on what knowledge of kidneys and kidney disease among pupils of selected elementary schools. The objective of the thesis is to show what knowledge pupils of the final two grades of selected elementary schools have about the structure and function of the kidneys as well as kidney disease and the possibilities of disease prevention, namely in terms of a suitable lifestyle and exercise. The theoretical part of the dissertation focuses on the description of the structure and function of the kidneys, kidney diseases and their treatment options, as well as the development of dialysis treatment since 2015 and assumptions about the success of the treatment. Importantly, it examines the Framework Educational Programme for elementary education, where the focus is on areas related to the topic of kidneys and their health. Cross-curricular relations in the teaching of the czech language and literature and history in the 9th grade of upper secondary school

This master thesis deals with the issue of cross-curriscural relations of the Czech language and literature and history in teaching in the 9th grade of upper secondary school. The first objective was to explore the current state of the concept of interdisciplinary relationships between these subjects in the Framework Educational Program for Elementary Education, selected School Educational Programs and selected teaching materials. The second objective was to to propose the possibilities of purposeful application of intersubject relationships of the studied subjects in teaching. The research consists in the analysis of the Framework Educational Program for Elementary Education, the School Educational Programs of nine selected schools and didactic material in the form of a history textbook, workbook, and teacher's guide, as well as a Czech language textbook, workbook, and teacher's guide, and finally, a reader and its accompanying teacher's guide. The research indicates that although School Educational Programmes are based on the Framework Education Program for Elementary Education, the concept of interdisciplinary relationships is not the same in all programmes. FORMATION OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM AND ITS PRESENTATION WITHIN LESSONS AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is, how the Solar System is being taught in elementary schools. The first half is focused on the formation of the Solar System, its history and the newest discovered facts. Then, it focuses on data about the Sun, the Moon and other planets that are included in the Solar System. Next part deals with the research and opinions of the teachers about the options of running their lessons and the research of the student´s knowledges using an exam. Afterwards, these exams are graded and subjected to research. Next, there is an analysis of teaching materials and a presentation about the problematics of Framework Education programme and School Education programme. Finally, there is a design, how classes should be taught about the formation of Solar system after the detailed and diligent study of literature, observations and researches.
First Aid in Secondary Education

Title: First Aid in Secondary Education Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to compare the knowledge of first aid students of selected secondary schools in Karlovy Vary and their possible relationship to the number of teaching hours with the topic of first aid and the teaching methods used. Methods: In our theoretical-research thesis we used the method of analysis and the method of comparison. Available school documents, data obtained during testing of pupils' knowledge and data obtained by means of a survey from teachers were analyzed. Data collection took place using a test and a survey. A comparison of the data followed. The research group consisted of 82 students and 4 teachers from 4 selected secondary schools in Karlovy Vary. Results: We found minimal differences in first aid knowledge among students of selected secondary schools in Karlovy Vary. We did not find a direct link between students' knowledge and the number of first aid lessons and teaching methods used. Implementation of the Man and Nature in the SEP of Grammar Schools from the perspective of manager

Final thesis analyzes some managerial skills SEP coordinators in the implementation of the Man and Nature to School Education Programmes. Verifies whether and to what extent the targeted use of managerial skills coordinators SEP especially from the perspective of communication. The work is based on the management theory of leadership. It uses the theoretical knowledge of the process of creation and effective functioning team. Another starting point for the documents related to curriculum reform in secondary schools in the Czech Republic. With the help of controlled structured interviews and additional survey was able to chart above issues and show some "best practices" applicable in other schools. Practical use of Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science Charles University in Prague for Education of Lower Grades of Primary School

The theme of this diploma thesis is Practical use of the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague for Education of Lower Grades of Primary Schools. The main purpose is to chart current status of a theme of botanical garden in curricular documents, namely The Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education and School Educational Programmes of chosen elementary schools located in Prague 2. Further, the presence of this theme is explored in the sample of schoolbooks for the 4th and the 5th grades of elementary schools. There is a questionnaire survey realized among teachers of the 4th and the 5th grades in the schools listed above. The aim is to find out, how much the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague is used for practical education. The results are shown in charts and graphs. The readiness of this botanical garden for practical education of lower grades pupils is found out by an interview with its vice-director. The next part of thesis contains planning and realizing a lesson with the 5th grade pupils. The lesson demonstrates a possibility of more frequent practical education in the botanical garden. Mathematical Skills Applied to Teaching of Geography at High School In the Topic The Earth as a Cosmic Orb

Matýsková, P. (2010): Mathematical skills applied to the teaching of geography at secondary schools in the topic the Earth as a cosmic orb. Submitted diploma thesis deals with interdisciplinary relationships between mathematics and geography at grammar schools in the topic the Earth as a cosmic orb. The relationships are generally described from the point of view of three curriculum forms (intended, implemented and achieved). In the area of the intended curriculum there is an analysis of curriculum documents carried out, especially of the Framework educational programme and of selected school educational programmes. Subsequently, the links between selected secondary school textbooks of geography and mathematics are evaluated on the basis of required curriculum, its quality, intelligibility and occurrence of examples from the practice. Introduction of acting lessons to school education plan in a small school

My diploma thesis deals with the implementation of drama education as a separate subject in the school system after 1990 and characterizes the transformation of schools, the changes in teacher training after 1990 and describes alternative schools that are important for changing the way of teaching in the school system. I also deal with the curriculum of the framework educational program, the characteristics of the school educational plan, drama education and small schools. In the practical part I describe the conditions for the implementation of drama education in the school curriculum of a small school and three ways how to implement this subject. As part of my work, I created a survey of parents' opinions and an interview with the principal to find out what the awareness of drama education is and whether there is an interest in it. I present the research results in the appendices. At the end of the thesis I summarized my research at a small school and the implementation of drama education in the school curriculum, it also contains a list of what is needed for such implementation and what was the result of my efforts at Kindergarden and Elementary school in Suchodol.
